Where did you propose, and how long before your wedding day?
I proposed whilst on a weekend away in devon. It was 3 and a half years before our wedding day.
How did you propose?
In our room (we don’t like attracting attention to ourselves in public), in a beautiful barn conversion, flowers, chocolates and the traditional one knee.
What made you choose your venue, or what did you like about it?
We chose our venue because it was relatively local and well hidden, although its rather local we never knew it was there. It has character, its very ornate inside and we loved how although everything is in one place its not all under the same roof. The staff were accommodating from the minute we walked into reception and we just had an amazing feeling about the place.
What was your colour scheme & why did you choose it?
Our colour scheme was blush. We chose this because we thought it would go best with the grey suit that Brad wanted. Also its pretty elegant and suited the theme we went for.
What style of wedding dress did you choose and why?
I chose a fitted dress because I thought it looked best on me, I had it changed so its now totally bespoke.
What song did you choose for your first dance, and why?
We chose beautiful in white by Shane Filan. The song just described things perfectly, as if it was wrote for us.
What style of wedding cake did you choose and why?
We went for a dessert table style wedding cake, we wanted something different and good value for money so we went for this. Every cake was chosen/designed by ourselves (along with the expert advice from the cake maker) from style, colour, ribbons, even down to flavour.
What was the most successful or your favourite part of the day?The way the ceremony room looked and the arden suite (wedding breakfast room) it wowed me. The candlelit theme and flowers were amazing. We wanted to achieve a really romantic ambience, intimate but informal. We had planned it all so hard and the way it all came together we thought was stunning! We loved our ceremony the registrar was brilliant, and it was so perfectly romantic.
Where are you planning to go, or have been for your honeymoon?
We are going to Mexico.
